Prof. Y. Jahangir is a distinguished academician and administrator with extensive contributions to the field of Management Education. He currently serves as the Head, Department of Business Management, Osmania University.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to academia and research, he was honored with the Ratan Tata Excellence Award, a prestigious state-level accolade. Prof. Jahangir has an impressive research record with 54 publications in reputed Scopus, ABDC, UGC, and peer-reviewed journals. He has successfully guided 23 Ph.D. scholars across Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource Management, all of whom have been awarded doctoral degrees.
An accomplished author, he has written four books — Basics of Business Analytics, Business Policy and Strategy, Economics for Managers, and Basics of Marketing — and edited four volumes on Modern Management Practices, Contemporary Management, and Financial Inclusion.
Prof. Jahangir has organized and participated in several national and international conferences, workshops, and academic events, significantly enriching the discourse in management studies.
He also brings rich administrative experience, having served as Vice-Principal (Hostel), Vice-Principal (College of Commerce and Business Management), Additional Controller of Examinations, Placement Officer, and Director, University Guest House at Osmania University. Throughout his tenure, he has been known as a student- and system-centric leader, committed to academic excellence and institutional development.

Areas of interest include Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship Development, Strategic Management, Business Laws, Industrial Relations and other Labour Legislations and Rural Development.
She has 17 years of teaching & research experience.
Completed major research project sponsored by ICSSR.
Under her research supervision three M. Phil degrees and ten Doctoral degrees were awarded, our theses submitted and four more scholars are pursuing research under her supervision.
She also guided several student projects at graduate and post graduate level.
She is a member of various Academic, Investigative & Fact-finding committees and is a member of several boards and held a few administrative positions earlier at University level like Warden for Ladies hostel, NSS Programme Officer & IQAC Coordinator at UCC&BM and was Assistant Director, UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (Academic Staff College) of Osmania University. She is a life member of All India Management Association (AIMA) & Hyderabad Management Association (HMA).
Dr. Samunnatha has organised a few seminars, conferences, workshops and webinars on Research Methodology, Entrepreneurship Development Program and New Education Policy – 2020 and International Relations. Also conducted Faculty Induction Programmes, Campus Recruitment Trainings and delivered Guest lectures.
She has been a resource person for UGC-HRDC, OU, Symbiosis Law College, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Kyrgyz Economic University and some other academic institutions. Besides presenting research papers at many international and national conferences, adding to her credit, edited two books and authored several research articles published in national and international journals with high impact factor.
